If your guest list is two-thirds out-of-town, your wedding is a destination wedding — even if the destination is the city you grew up in. Here is how to host one in Nagpur without losing your mind.

The Airport

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur (NAG), is well-served from Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Pune. It's compact, single-terminal, and a 40-minute drive from our property.

The Drive

From the airport to The Grand Dularia is 22 km on the Inner Ring Road and Manewada Road. Twenty-five minutes off-peak, forty during the morning rush. Self-drive is straightforward; we recommend booking transfers ahead.

Group Logistics

  • Block-book transfers: Three or more arrivals on the same day get a discounted shuttle rate from our concierge.
  • Use one welcome point: Even if guests fly in across two days, they should all start at one place — usually the property lobby — to receive their welcome bags.
  • Print the itinerary: A laminated card the size of a passport, with all functions, dress codes, and contact numbers. Email gets lost.

Pre-and-Post-Wedding Day Trips

Add a day on either side of the wedding for guests who flew in from far. Half-day options: Tadoba safari, Pench safari, city heritage walk, or an orange-country drive in season.

Accommodation

Our twelve rooms are typically reserved for the immediate family. For larger guest counts, we recommend three partner hotels within a fifteen-minute drive — the concierge can release a discounted block-rate code on request.

Communication

Open a single WhatsApp group for the wedding three weeks before. One administrator, family + close friends only. Use the Description field for the itinerary; pin it.
